Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has lauded the high professionalism of the reports of the National Audit Office (NAO), stressing that NAO’s work reflects its high level of transparency, being one of the most important features of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era, which contributes to enhancing the governance of the performance of ministries and state departments.
Al-Saleh was speaking while receiving here today the Auditor-General of the National Audit Office, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who presented him with a copy of the 18th NAO Annual Report 2020-2021.
The Shura Chairman valued highly the efforts exerted by NAO to prepare the report, praising the cooperation of all state departments by providing the required information and data, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in this regard.
He stressed the importance of addressing the aspects covered by the report, through avoiding them, implementing the recommendations contained in the report, and following up on the measures taken in this regard.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed expressed thanks and appreciation to the Shura Chairman for the Shura Council’s cooperation, and keenness to develop systems and legislation that consolidate the principle of transparency in the kingdom, which will support the work of institutions and strengthen their role.
