Combatting Financial Crimes.
Yesterday morning, His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), attended the launch of the "Judicial Seizure in Financial Crimes: Between Law and Application" training program, organized by the Public Prosecution under the patronage of the Attorney General, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council, the Interior Ministry, the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) the National Audit Office (NAO) and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) among others.
In his speech, H.E. Shaikh Ahmed said that judicial officers have a key role in combating crime, stressing the importance of continuing to build the technical and institutional capacities of the authorities related to enhancing integrity and combating corruption through continuous training based on best practices and methodologies used in this regard.
He pointed to the constructive cooperation and fruitful partnership between the National Audit Office and the relevant authorities, which provided an important foundation to enhance audit work and detect abuses.
