Manama – The National Audit Office:

Ms. Somaia Almeer, audit manager at the Administrative Audit Directorate at the National Audit Office (NAO), presented a training course for the employees of the State Audit Institution (SAI) of the Sultanate of Oman on "Governance of Audit Work".

The course, which was held in Muscat, is part of the cooperation framework between the NAO and SAI Oman. It aimed to enhance the institutional understanding of the governance framework in the regulatory authorities and raise audit work efficiency in terms of transparency, accountability and effectiveness.

During the course, trainer Almeer reviewed the general concepts of governance, public sector governance, audit work, governance audit  (planning, implementation mechanisms, result) and shared the experience of the NAO in this field.
