Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed: National competencies are the real capital of any successful institution.

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received in his office this morning, Wednesday, the 17th of November 2021, employees with continuous service of more than ten and fifteen years, and employees who recently qualified as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Anti-Money laundering Specialist (CAMS) to honor their achievements and their contributions to the NAO’s development.

His Excellency congratulated his colleagues and wished them further success in their future endeavours. He stressed the NAO’s ongoing efforts to provide a work environment that supports initiative and achievement as part of its strategy to achieve excellence in the field of auditing and advance and conduct its work in a highly professional manner.

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed emphasized the importance of continued investment in the development of human cadres and national competencies as they are the real capital of any successful institution.

He explained that the NAO is dedicated to support and motivate all its employees by enhancing their professional and technical capacity through ongoing training and professional courses as part of its development programme to obtain internationally accredited professional qualifications in auditing and accounting.

46% of the NAO’s employees have professional qualifications. In addition, the NAO has organized various training courses for its employees. Up until October 2021, about 312 employees benefited from 54 internal and external training courses (webinars). 96% of the NAO’s employees are Bahrainis.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Auditor General for Administrative Audit, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Deputy Auditor General for Financial and Performance Audit, His Excellency Mr. Fayeq Ali Dhaif, and several senior NAO employees.
