Manama – National Audit Office:
On the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Commemoration Day to honour the contributions and sacrifices of the martyrs of the country, His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), expressed his deep respect and appreciation for the brave men who sacrificed their lives to defend the Kingdom of Bahrain and its loyal people and protect the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations.
H.E. appreciated the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Defence Force, and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince - Prime Minister and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to celebrate Commemoration Day on the 17th of December each year and to establish the "Royal Fund for Martyrs of Duty", for the benefit of the families of the honourable martyrs, who were members of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard and who sacrificed their lives during the performance of their national duties.
H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed pointed out that Commemoration Day would forever be engraved in the history books of the Kingdom of Bahrain and symbolized sacrifice and redemption in the performance of national duty. May the souls of the martyrs rest in peace.
