Manama – The National Audit Office:
H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), sent a cable of congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, on the successful launch of Bahrain’s Al Munther satellite into orbit after lifting off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA aboard the Space X Falcon 9 rocket.
H.E. said that this historic scientific achievement represented the great contributions of Bahraini professionals in advancing Bahrain’s space sector. Furthermore it demonstrated the kingdom’s serious ambition to keep pace with scientific and technical developments. It adds a further milestone to the numerous achievements under the leadership of His Majesty the King and his keenness for comprehensive progress of the country, with the dedicated support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
H.E. the Auditor General of the National Audit Office praised the commitment, efforts and tireless follow-up of His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa that ensured the successful completion of all procedures and requirements for the launch of the first Bahraini satellite.
H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed said that the launch of Al Munther was testimony of the ability, efficiency and professionalism of Bahraini scientists whose efforts would be recorded in Bahrain’s history.
