Manama – National Audit Office (NAO):

His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received this morning at his office Shaikha Latifa bint Khalid bin Ali Alkhalifa, Senior Auditor in the Regularity Audit Department, on the occasion of her achievement of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification, awarded by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in the United States.

H.E. also received Ms. Noor Ahmed Alasasmeh, Auditor in the Information Systems Audit Department, who recently obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification awarded by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Deputy Auditor General for Financial and Performance Audit, along with a number of senior NAO officials.

During the meeting, H.E. the Auditor General congratulated the employees on their accomplishments, commending their dedication and efforts, and wishing them continued success in their professional careers.

He emphasized the NAO’s commitment to investing in national human capital, recognizing it as a cornerstone of institutional success. He highlighted that the NAO’s development and training programs are designed to include employees at all levels, aiming to enhance their professional capabilities and enable them to perform their duties with efficiency and excellence.

The NAO places great importance on continuous training and professional qualification programs for its staff. These initiatives align with international auditing standards issued by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), with the goal of strengthening both technical expertise and professional competencies.

For their part, the female employees expressed their pride in their achievements and appreciation for the NAO’s ongoing support, which enabled them to obtain these prestigious professional certifications. They affirmed their commitment to further developing their professional and technical skills.
