Employees at the National Audit Office (NAO) continued to enhance their professional and technical capabilities in various specialized fields, through training courses and workshops held by reputable local, regional and international bodies.
This comes as part of implementing the training plan for the professional year 2023/2024 which aims to enhance and develop the technical capabilities of employees in specialized fields, review best practices, and stay up-to-date with relevant developments in those fields to add value to the NAO’s audit work output.
A group of employees participated in the training on "Risk-Based Audit" held by ARABOSAI and hosted by the State Audit Institution in the Sultanate of Oman in Muscat. The course reviewed the methodologies required for risk-based auditing and the international standards and best practices used to conduct this type of audit. Furthermore, the training discussed the experience of some of the participating agencies in this field.
