Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed: Strengthening cooperation with audited entities to ensure implementation of recommendations.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), discussed with the Social Development Minister, His Excellency Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, ways to strengthen partnership, cooperation and communication in audit and follow-up.
This came during a meeting in his office this morning with the Minister, in which he congratulated the minister on the royal trust bestowed on him by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa by appointing him Minister of Social Development, wishing him every success in his new role.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed affirmed that the NAO would continue to coordinate and cooperate with all ministries and government entities covered by its audit mandate to ensure the implementation of its recommendations in accordance with international standards to improve performance levels and the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens. He stressed that he was looking forward to enhancing cooperation to strengthen the principles of integrity, transparency and professionalism thus contributing to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
For his part, the Minister of Social Development commented on the level of professionalism of the NAO’s staff and affirmed that his ministry was ready for more cooperation and coordination to reach the desired goals.
The meeting is part of an overall effort to expand cooperation between the NAO and the entities covered by its audit to achieve its vision of promoting a positive approach to serve the national interest.
