Employees congratulated on their professional qualifications.

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), praised the NAO's employees who strived to obtain professional qualifications and specialized certificates to raise their capabilities and skills for their own benefit and for the benefit of the audit profession and the NAO's work in general.

During a meeting at his office this morning, attended by senior NAO officials and employees who recently recieved professional qualifications, H.E. stressed that the NAO would continue to invest in human cadres and national competencies, and strengthen institutional capabilities. He called on all NAO employees to benefit from the qualification and training programs provided by the NAO.

Congratulations went to the following employees: Mr. Salah Saleh Alyafeai, Director - Administrative Audit and forensic audit team member for his CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) qualification, Mr. Mohamed Isa Alaradi, Audit Manager - Administrative Audit and forensic Audit team member for his CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) qualification, Ms. Abrar Hass Alsaegh, Audit Supervisor - Regularity Audit for her CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) qualification, and Mr. Salman Ahmed Albusmait, Senior Auditor – Information Systems Audit for his CISA qualification.

H.E. the Auditor General applauded the colleagues for their achievements and wished them further progress and success. For most of the colleagues, it was their second time to obtain professional qualifications.

The NAO pays great attention to providing ongoing training and professional qualification courses for its employees through projects and programmes that comply with the international audit standards issued by the International Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), to strengthen their professional and technical capabilities.

It runs a professional development program for its staff through a scholarship system to obtain one of the internationally accredited professional qualifications in auditing and accounting such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA, (Certified Internal Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and CMA (Certified Management Accountant).

Until July 2023, 43 employees, or 43% of NAO’s technical staff have professional qualifications.

For their part, the employees expressed their delight with their achievements and praised the support provided by the NAO which enabled them to obtain these important professional qualifications. They indicated that they would continue to enhance their skills and further strengthen their professional and technical expertise.
