His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received in his office this morning His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, where they discussed strengthening their partnership and cooperation to improve performance levels and the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens.
His Excellency congratulated His Excellency the Minister on the royal trust bestowed on him by being appointed Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, wishing him every success in his new role.
He affirmed his keenness to increase coordination in order to contribute to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HE the Auditor General indicated that the NAO was continuing with its positive approach when dealing with the observations and recommendations concluded in the audit reports. He praised the cooperation of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments with the NAO in this respect by facilitating the implementation of the NAO’s audit tasks thus enhancing the principles of integrity, transparency and professionalism.
For his part, HE the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments praised the level of professionalism of the NAO’s staff and affirmed that his ministry was ready for more cooperation and coordination to reach the desired goals.
HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa had started holding bilateral meetings with ministers and officials to enhance cooperation between the NAO and the entities covered by its audit mandate to serve the national interest.
