Employees congratulated on Eid Al-Fitr and encouraged to continue improving performance.

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), affirmed that that NAO’s human capital and technical and logistical capabilities placed it firmly in the ranks of advanced supreme audit institutions.

During a reception this morning organized by the NAO for its employees on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, he stated that there is a permanent and dynamic need for development, modernization and the introduction of new programs to keep pace with the latest global developments in the audit field, especially with regard to staff training and technology.

He stressed that he considered it a national duty to exert more efforts to improve performance and productivity and upgrade auditing methods to achieve a positive effect on the level of services provided to citizens.

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed congratulated the employees on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and thanked them for their efforts and dedication to their work, praising their performance and achievements during the past period, especially during the “Corona” period and encouraged them to take advantage of the opportunities and support offered by the NAO.

He urged them to continue to follow the positive approach in completing tasks and preparing reports, which was based on partnership and cooperation with the entities covered by the audit in accordance with the latest professional standards and best international auditing practices.

In his speech to the staff, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed referred to the new strategic plan of the Bureau, which aimed to modernize and develop the NAO’s auditing methods and in addition focussed on covering new audit areas, such as information systems audit, forensic audit and keeping pace with developments in the audit profession.

The NAO’s strategic plan which will continue until June 2025, includes the following objectives: providing value-added audit services, developing the NAO’s institutional capabilities, exchanging experiences, enhancing cooperation with relevant authorities locally and internationally, and raising awareness of the NAO’s role and tasks.
