The National Audit Office trains its employees in “Auditing Financial and Real Estate Investments" In cooperation with (BIBF)

Manama – The National Audit Office:

The National Audit Office (NAO), in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (BIBF), carried out a training program in “Auditing Financial and Real Estate Investments” which was attended by 21 employees from various NAO directorates.

The program aimed to enhance the capabilities of the NAO's employees in this field to identify the risks associated with these investments and the best ways to evaluate and manage them, as well as to analyse the local and international economic situation related to these investments.

This program is part of the specialized competencies program within the overall training plan for the professional year 2023/2024, which aims to enhance the capabilities of employees in specialized technical fields, learn about best practices and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in those fields in order to increase the value of their audit work.

The participants learnt about typical investment terms, best practices for managing financial and real estate investments, different types of those investments and the risks associated with them, as well as how to measure these risks as compared to the return for investors.

The training discussed the audit tools required for financial and real estate investments, the characteristics of the companies that manage them, and how to interpret and understand the concerns related to this type of investment.

The lectures were presented by Ms. Nourhan Al-Dhan, a certified trainer with 19 years of experience in financial services, investment, banking and training.
