The National Audit Office held an advanced training program on “Compliance and Performance Audit” for a group of Ministry of Interior employees, as part of strengthening and developing the capabilities of employees in the entities covered by the NAO’s audit within the framework of partnership and cooperation.
The two-day program aimed to introduce participants to what internal and external audit is, the basic requirements for activating internal audit, how to plan annually for audit tasks, methods of implementing them, issuing reports related to them and following them up, as well as methods of analyzing data using Active Data.
The program reviewed a set of models for audit tasks, such as auditing projects, procurement, contracts, and automated systems used in them, and warehouses, as well as audit of governance and processes related to issuing licenses, human resources, and others.
The training course were presented by the trainers at the NAO, Ms. Maryam Ebrahim Talib, Audit Manager in the Administrative Audit Directorate, and Mr. Mohamed Jassim Ali, Audit Manager in the Performance Audit Directorate.
